There Is No Future

There is no future, only now. If we think only of the now, the present, the moment, all is well. What do I want, right now? Feel, sense, express, need, do, carry, mean, think, understand, generate, receive, request or reward?

Right now and no future brings me to my knees, to the bare bones of what I am truly, deeply about and there can be only one answer for each of us. True, it's more of a 'sense' of what you are but it can be expressed in words (and they might be slightly different at different moments in time).

Am I about reason, feeling, expectations, construction, structure, understanding, enjoyment, compassion, communication, communion, ecstasy, pleasure, craving, pain, nobility, morality, strength, rigour, rigidity, flexibility, elasticity, dynamism, heaviness?...

Am I about reason, feeling, structure, understanding, enjoyment, communion, pleasure, pain, strength, elasticity?...

Start with a brain storm of words that might apply, then begin to eliminate them. You'll find your mind might try to lie again and again by telling you what you think you are, what you'd like to be, but almost never what you really are. Unless, of course, you're either very well brain-washed or your mind is quite clean and truth about yourself flows freely through your consciousness.
